Dear Cedar Roe Library Patron, Cedar Roe Library will close Monday, Aug. 8 through Friday, Aug. 19 for interior and exterior construction, including paving. The branch will open as scheduled on Saturday, Aug. 20. Curbside Holds Pickup service will be suspended and returns will not be accepted during the closure.
- Please contact us no later than Thursday, Aug. 4 if you would like to pick up your available holds from another branch during the closure period.
- Holds not picked up by 2 p.m. on Saturday, Aug. 6 will remain on the holds shelf an extra two weeks from their original expiration date. Check your Library account for specific dates.
- If you have items checked out that will be due during the closure, please return your items to another branch or renew materials through your Library account.
- Public computers, including printing and copying services, are available at our other 13 Johnson County Library locations. Antioch Library (8700 Shawnee Mission Pkwy, Merriam, KS) has the closest proximity to Cedar Roe.
These improvements are in addition to the major upgrades that the Cedar Roe branch received over the last two years, which include an HVAC overhaul, a new roof, and updated shelving. Additional enhancements to the building, such as new exterior signage, are anticipated over the next several months but will not require closure.
